Quote from Zelenskyy: "With all due respect to China and the Chinese Prime Minister, I am not going to see him personally, I am going to Davos on invitation. I will have many different meetings there. With many world leaders.

And as for the role of China, they play a big role in the world. We would very much like China to be involved in our Peace Formula. And to be involved in the summit. But not everything depends on our wants. We will see. Let's hope that all civilised countries will be involved in the peace summit."
Background:
- A Chinese representative was not among the participants in the fourth meeting of national security advisers on the Ukrainian Peace Formula in Davos on Sunday 14 January.
- The Presidential Office reported earlier that 81 countries and international organisations attended the Davos meeting on 14 January, but China was not among them, despite the fact that Beijing had received an invitation.
- Of the four meetings on the Peace Formula, a Chinese representative took part in one – which was held in early August 2023 in Jeddah. At the time, Foreign Minister Dmytro Kuleba called China's participation a "super breakthrough".
- After a meeting with President Volodymyr Zelenskyy on 15 January, Viola Amherd, President of the Swiss Federal Council, confirmed the country's intention to organise a peace conference on Ukraine at the highest level.
