Commander-in-Chief Zaluzhnyi confirms downing of Russian A-50 and Il-22M – photo
General Valerii Zaluzhnyi, Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, has confirmed that the Ukrainian Air Force has downed two important Russian planes: an airborne early warning system (AWACS) aircraft and an airborne command post.

Details: He posted a video of the two planes disappearing from radar.
"I thank the Air Force for the perfectly planned and performed operation in the Azov Sea!" the Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces concluded.
The Air Force said it would continue to work to destroy Russian aircraft.
"The special operation in Pryazovia was successful. There will be more to come... The Air Force is on guard over Ukraine's sky!" the Ukrainian Air Force emphasised.
