Ukraine's government allocates over US$68 million to Defence Ministry for construction of fortifications
Ukraine’s Cabinet of Ministers allocated over UAH 2.6 billion (about US$68.7 million) from the reserve fund of the state budget to strengthen the state's defence capability.

Details: It is pointed out that military engineering and fortifications will be constructed with these funds, along with additional defensive line fortification arrangements and improved border protection.
One of the Ministry of Defence's decisions, specifically, is to allocate UAH 2.49 billion (about US$65.8 million) from the state budget reserve fund.
These will be distributed as follows:
- construction of defensive lines: UAH 1.36 billion (about US$36);
- arrangement of strips of non-explosive barriers: UAH 1.13 billion (about US$29,8 million);
By another decision, the Ministry of Internal Affairs allocated UAH 120 million (about US$3,1 million) to the Administration of the State Border Service to enhance security on the state border.
