Italy takes over chairmanship of G7 Ambassadors' Group in Ukraine
Pier Francesco Zazo, Italian Ambassador to Ukraine, has taken over the chairmanship of the Group of Seven ambassadors in Kyiv, who are helping to implement reforms.

Details: The Italian Embassy noted that it "proudly assumes presidency" of the G7 Ambassadors' Ukraine Support in 2024.
"Many thanks to the Embassy of Japan in Ukraine for their outstanding 2023 chairmanship. We remain committed to close cooperation with Ukraine in fostering reforms and addressing Russia's aggression," the diplomats added.

The presidency is transferred in accordance with the country leading the Group of Seven.
As reported, Italy has taken over the presidency of the G7, replacing Japan in this role.
The G7 Group consists of the United States, the UK, France, Italy, Germany, Canada, Japan, and the EU as an association. Russia was expelled from this format after the occupation of Crimea in 2014.
