White House concerned that US can guarantee aid to Ukraine for only a few more weeks
John Kirby, US National Security Council Strategic Communications Coordinator, said at a briefing on Thursday that the White House is concerned that they can guarantee assistance to Ukraine for only a few more weeks.

Details: He also said that the White House is ready to negotiate with Republicans to continue funding.
Quote: "That should be unacceptable to everybody. And we know that there is strong bipartisan support up there. It’s just that there are a small number of Republicans that want to hold that aid hostage."
White House spokeswoman Karine Jean-Pierre said it was "stunning" that the United States had reached the point where "Republicans in Congress are ready to give Putin the greatest gift he could hope for".
She emphasised that there is an obvious way forward: Congress must grant Joe Biden's request for supplemental funding for US national security requirements, including aid to Taiwan, Israel, Ukraine and other countries, as well as fortifying the southern border.
