US Department of State to send adviser to Ukraine

The US Department of State, together with Congress, is planning to send an adviser to Ukraine's Ministry of Strategic Industries.

Details: It is noted that the adviser is being sent "to support and accelerate Ukraine’s transition to an interoperable military force, combat corruption, and attract foreign investment in critical industries."

In addition, the United States has created an interagency team called the Ukraine Deal Team. It consists of representatives from the US Department of State and from the Departments of Defense and Commerce.

The team will support partners seeking guidance on potential deals and export requirements for Ukraine's defence industry. The interagency team will answer specific questions via this email address: UkraineDealTeam@state.gov.
