Details: According to the UK’s Defence Intelligence, the Russian Federation may have augmented Iranian-made drones with weapons manufactured at its factories.
Citing data from late November, they said a Ukrainian SIM card and a 4G modem had been found in a downed Shahed drone.
UK intelligence stated that in this way, Russia is trying to improve real-time guidance using cell towers to reduce dependence on satellite navigation.
This could also be an attempt to mitigate Ukraine's electronic warfare capabilities.
Some other Russian-made attack drones have been painted black, making them difficult to detect visually at night.
Background: In their previous update, UK Defence Intelligence reported on the battle for Marinka in Donetsk Oblast.
