Ukrainian defenders repel Russian attacks near Avdiivka, Klishchiivka and Marinka – General Staff

The Russian occupying forces are continuing to exert strong pressure near the town of Avdiivka, the settlements of Bohdanivka, Klishchiivka and Andriivka (Donetsk Oblast), as well as pushing forward on the Kupiansk and Lyman fronts, with the Ukrainian Defence Forces repelling over 70 Russian attacks over the past 24 hours.

Details: In the area of responsibility of the Khortytsia Operational Strategic Group on the Kupiansk front, Ukrainian defenders repelled 10 Russian attacks around the settlements of Synkivka and Petropavlivka (Kharkiv Oblast).

On the Lyman front, Ukrainian Defence Forces repelled 11 Russian attacks near Serebrianka Forest, the villages of Bilohorivka (Luhansk Oblast), and Terny (Donetsk Oblast).

On the Bakhmut front, the Ukrainian forces repelled 11 Russian attacks near the settlements of Bohdanivka, Klishchiivka and Andriivka (Donetsk Oblast). The Ukrainian Defence Forces are continuing their assault operations south of the town of Bakhmut (Donetsk Oblast), inflicting losses in military personnel and equipment on the Russian occupying forces, and consolidating their positions.

In the area of responsibility of the Tavriia Operational Strategic Group on the Avdiivka front, Ukrainian soldiers are holding back the Russians, who persist in their attempts to surround Avdiivka. The Ukrainian defenders are steadfastly holding their ground, inflicting significant losses on the Russian army. The Ukrainian military successfully repelled 18 Russian attacks near the settlements of Novobakhmutivka, Stepove, Avdiivka and Sieverne (Donetsk Oblast).

On the Marinka front, Ukrainian forces are continuing to hold back the Russians near the settlements of Marinka and Novomykhailivka (Donetsk Oblast), repelling 18 attacks.

On the Zaporizhzhia front, the Ukrainian army repelled all Russian attacks, attempting to regain their lost ground near the village of Robotyne (Zaporizhzhia Oblast).

At the same time, on the Melitopol front, Ukraine's Defence Forces are taking active steps to inflict losses in military personnel and equipment on the Russian occupying forces, exhausting them along the entire contact line.

In the area of responsibility of the Odesa Operational Strategic Group on the Kherson front, Ukrainian troops are continuing to maintain their positions on the left bank of Dnipro, conduct counter-battery combat, and inflict fire damage on the Russian rear.

On the Shakhtarsk front, the Russians conducted no offensive actions.

In the area of responsibility of the Pivnich (North) Operational Strategic Group on the Volyn and Polissia fronts, the operational situation remains without significant changes.

On the Sivershchyna and Slobozhanshchyna fronts, Russian forces are maintaining their military presence in the border areas, undertaking sabotage activities to prevent Ukrainian troops from being deployed to vulnerable areas.

Quote from General Staff: "A total of 73 combat engagements took place over the past 24 hours. The enemy launched 8 missile strikes and 68 airstrikes and bombarded the positions of Ukrainian troops and populated areas 37 times using multiple-launch rocket systems...... The Russian airstrikes targeted the following areas: [the settlements of] Petropavlivka, Ivanivka, Pishchane (Kharkiv Oblast); [the settlement of] Novoiehorivka, Serebrianka Forest (Luhansk Oblast); [the settlements of] Spirne, Vyimka, Klishchiivka, Andriivka, Avdiivka, Chasiv Yar, Oleksandropil, Novomykhailivka, Urozhaine, Staromaiorske (Donetsk Oblast); [the settlements of] Novodarivka and Kamianske (Zaporizhzhia Oblast).

Over 100 settlements in Chernihiv, Sumy, Kharkiv, Luhansk, Donetsk, Zaporizhzhia, Dnipropetrovsk, Kherson and Mykolaiv oblasts came under artillery fire."

Details: Over the past 24 hours, the Ukrainian Air Force delivered 10 strikes on clusters of Russian military personnel, weapons and equipment and 2 on anti-aircraft missile systems belonging to the Russians.

Ukraine's Rocket Forces and Artillery units struck 3 clusters of Russian military personnel, weapons and equipment, 2 anti-aircraft missile systems and 7 Russian artillery pieces.
