Ukraine's Defence Minister discusses defence industry cooperation with Belgian counterpart
Ukrainian Defence Minister Rustem Umierov is on a visit in Belgium, where he has discussed the defence industry cooperation of the two countries with his Belgian counterpart Ludivine Dedonder.

Details: Umierov reported about his meeting with the Defence Minister of Belgium, noting that they discussed plans to strengthen bilateral cooperation, specifically between the defence industries of Ukraine and Belgium. They also discussed the possibility of hosting Belgian Defence Industrial Complex representatives in Ukraine "early next year".

He also thanked Belgium for the aid it provided.
Moreover, a two-day Ukrainian-American conference on issues of the military-industrial complex will be held in Washington this week. It was intended to be a follow-up of the Defence Industries Forum held in the city of Kyiv in late September.
Background: At the forum, President Volodymyr Zelenskyy announced the creation of the Defence Industries Alliance.
Dmytro Kuleba, Minister of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine, announced the "new era" of the Ukrainian defence industry after the meeting. In November he called for strengthening of cooperation between the defence industries of the EU member states and the countries which want to become EU members.
