Details: During a Russian attack, the owner of the house was inside, while his wife went to run some errands in the settlement of Semenivka.

She had nowhere to return to – the house has become uninhabitable as a result of the attack.

"At first, I heard a loud explosion somewhere nearby. Then, the Russians struck right at our house, destroying the roof and cutting the walls. I’ve miraculously survived," recalls Volodymyr, owner of the house.

It was dangerous to stay in the village, as Leonivka is located a kilometre away from the Russian border and is constantly being attacked.

The police suggested the couple evacuate.

"Jointly with the local authorities, we coordinated the evacuation, involved a public freight transport and found the accommodation for the couple in a safer place," Volodymyr Yermolenko, head of the Police Activity Centre, told the press.
