The death toll from the Russian attack on Kyiv on Friday (29 December) has risen to 17.

The missile attack by Russian monsters has claimed the lives of 17 civilians.
The search and rescue operation is still ongoing."
Details: The KCMA noted that 1 January was declared a Day of Mourning in Kyiv.
Background:
- On the night and morning of 29 December, Russia conducted its largest-ever air attack on Ukraine. Kyiv, Kharkiv, Dnipro, Odesa, Lviv, Zaporizhzhia and other cities were hit.
- Ukrainian air defences managed to destroy 114 out of 158 Russian air targets. The Ukrainian Air Force reported that Russia used almost all types of weapons at its disposal.
- In particular, 16 people were reported dead under the rubble of a warehouse in Kyiv's Shevchenkivskyi district. 32 people were injured.
