The death toll from the Russian attack on Kyiv on Friday (29 December) has risen to 17.

Quote: "Emergency workers have found another body.

The missile attack by Russian monsters has claimed the lives of 17 civilians.

The search and rescue operation is still ongoing."

Details: The KCMA noted that 1 January was declared a Day of Mourning in Kyiv.

Background:

• On the night and morning of 29 December, Russia conducted its largest-ever air attack on Ukraine. Kyiv, Kharkiv, Dnipro, Odesa, Lviv, Zaporizhzhia and other cities were hit.
• Ukrainian air defences managed to destroy 114 out of 158 Russian air targets. The Ukrainian Air Force reported that Russia used almost all types of weapons at its disposal.
• In particular, 16 people were reported dead under the rubble of a warehouse in Kyiv's Shevchenkivskyi district. 32 people were injured.
