Death toll from missile attack on Zaporizhzhia rises to eight

At least eight people were killed and 13 injured in a morning missile attack on the city of Zaporizhzhia on 29 December.

Update: As of 17:30, the death toll of the morning missile attack on Zaporizhzhia had risen to eight.
As of 15:15, it was known that seven people had been killed and 13 injured.
Work continues at the sites hit by Russian missiles.
Details: During a massive attack on Ukraine on 29 December, the Russians fired Kh-22, Kh-32, Kh-101 and Zircon missiles on Zaporizhzhia.
Civilian infrastructure was damaged.
Over 120 reports of damaged property have been received.
Background:
- On the night of 28-29 December, Russia launched a large-scale attack on Ukraine. Kyiv, Kharkiv, Dnipro, Odesa, Lviv, Zaporizhzhia and other cities were hit.
- The Ukrainian Air Force said that Russia had used virtually every type of weapon at its disposal to launch the large-scale attack. The air defence managed to down 114 out of 158 Russian air targets.
- As of 16:00, 26 Ukrainians had been killed and more than 120 people injured.
