Explosions rocked the cities of Lviv, Kharkiv and Cherkasy on the night of 28-29 December.

Quote from Andrii Sadovyi: "Lviv. An explosion was heard in the city. Two more air targets are approaching [the city]. Stay in shelters!"
Details: Sadovyi reported later that there had been two strikes in the city.
National Police said a series of explosions had rung out in Kharkiv.
An explosion was also heard in the city of Cherkasy.
Updated at 05:18: Ihor Terekhov, mayor of Kharkiv, stated that the city was under a large-scale missile attack. There were at least six explosions.
Background: The Russian forces launched attack drones at Ukraine from the south and north on the evening of 28 December, and the UAVs reached Volyn and Lviv oblasts at night.
The Ukrainian military detected a take-off of nine Tu-95MS strategic bombers from the Olenya airfield in Russia’s Murmansk Oblast on the night of 28-29 December.
An air-raid warning was issued in some oblasts due to the missile threat.
