Russian forces deploy artillery and mortars to attack Sumy Oblast, Russian FPV drone shot down

Russian forces deployed artillery, mortars and drones to carry out four attacks on areas and civilian settlements in the vicinity of the Ukrainian-Russian border in Sumy Oblast over the course of 25 December.

Details: A total of 15 explosions occurred in Sumy Oblast, with Yunakivka and Bilopillia hromadas coming under Russian fire. [A hromada is an administrative unit demarcating a city, town, or village and its adjacent territory - ed.]

Russian forces deployed mortars to attack Bilopillia hromada, causing 12 explosions; Russian artillery shelling caused a further two explosions in the hromada.

An FPV kamikaze drone attack caused an explosion in Yunakivka hromada.

Ukrainian forces also struck down a Russian FPV drone above one other Sumy Oblast hromada.
