Grenade goes off in high-rise building in Kremenchuk, man taken to hospital

A grenade has exploded in a block of flats in the town of Kremenchuk (Poltava Oblast).

Details: The explosion occurred in a flat in a high-rise building in the Molodizhnyi microdistrict at around 22:50 on 23 December.

Reports indicate that a resident of the flat, aged around 55, was taken to hospital from the scene.

A woman, who had also been in the flat at the time of the incident, was not injured.

Law enforcement officers found that the munition exploded in the apartment "due to mishandling".

The police have not reported where the man got the grenade.
