Russian forces carried out a large-scale attack on Kherson’s residential neighbourhoods on the evening of Saturday, 23 December, causing several fires in the city.

Powerful explosions were heard in several of the city’s neighbourhoods. Afterwards, several fires broke out.

Details: Later, Oleksandr Prokudin, Head of Kherson Oblast Military Administration, clarified that the Russians had hit critical infrastructure in Kherson.

"There was a break in the gas supply network. A fire broke out. One of the medical facilities also came under fire," he said and posted a video of the aftermath of the attack.

Updated: Prokudin later reported that seven people, including a 15-year-old child, were injured in the Russian attack on Kherson on Saturday evening.
