Russian strike on café in Kramatorsk: pre-trial investigation against forward observer completed

A resident of Kramatorsk who directed the Russian attack on a pizza restaurant on 27 June 2023, will stand trial as the pre-trial investigation has been completed.

Details: "The pre-trial investigation established that a man employed by a gas transport company and who had been remotely recruited by Russia to execute assigned tasks in the interests of the aggressor state was contacted by the 'chief of the intelligence department of the internal troops command of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Donetsk People's Republic (DPR)' on 27 June 2023 [DPR is a Russian-backed terrorist organisation in Russian-occupied Ukraine's Donetsk Oblast - ed.].

He assigned the proxy the task of verifying information about the location of the Ukrainian troops in Kramatorsk."

Details: The defendant filmed the cars carrying the Ukrainian soldiers and the visitors of the catering establishment. The Russians then launched a missile attack on the pizzeria.

The man, who is remanded in custody, faces a sentence of 15 years in prison or life imprisonment with confiscation of property.
