Family visits relatives in Chernihiv Oblast and comes under Russian fire: Two civilians injured

Family members visiting their relatives for the weekend have been injured in a Russian attack on the Chernihiv Oblast border area.

Quote: "Civilians were injured today [2 December 2023] during a bombardment of the Chernihiv Oblast border area in Semenivka hromada (a hromada is an administrative unit designating a town, village or several villages and their adjacent territories – ed.).

A family, including a 4-year-old child, was affected. The father sustained shrapnel injuries and received medical care in a local hospital. His daughter is being transported to the oblast hospital, where she is awaiting surgery. Fortunately, the 4-year-old boy was not injured."

Details: Chaus added that the family had travelled to visit one of their family members in the border village for the weekend and came under Russian fire as they left the house for the street.

Local police officers facilitated the evacuation of the injured.
