Zelenskyy: We had difficulties in the south because everyone kept talking about our goals

President Volodymyr Zelenskyy has refused to state Ukraine’s 2024 goals in the war, as there were "difficulties in the south" before because "everyone was talking about our goals".

Details: Zelenskyy was asked what "realistic goals" there are after Ukraine's summer counteroffensive and what goals have been set for the next 12 months.

Quote: "I can't tell you anything about our goals. We had difficulties in the south because everyone was talking about our goals. Frankly, people were discussing for months where we were going and looking at the details of how we would get there, if we couldn't get there, what would be better, what would be enough and what wouldn’t be enough, maybe it’s better to go to the south, it’s warm there, or maybe later, because it’s winter there...

Background: Earlier, Valerii Zaluzhnyi, Commander-in-Chief of Ukraine's Armed Forces, stated that he could not comment on military plans, otherwise "it would be a show".
