Ukrainian lawmaker Honcharenko says he detected bugging at his home, police launch investigation

Lawmaker Oleksii Honcharenko has said the police have opened a criminal investigation into the discovery of a bugging device at his home.

Quote: "Your parliamentary appeal dated 27 November 2023, submitted to the Security Service of Ukraine, regarding the commission of a criminal offence against you, as well as other issues, has been considered."

Details: The police report that the information had been entered into the Unified Register of Pre-trial Investigations on 11 December, and proceedings had been opened under Art. 182.1 (Violation of Privacy) of the Criminal Code of Ukraine. A pre-trial investigation has been launched.

Ukrainska Pravda asked the police for a comment.

Updated: The police confirmed to Ukrainska Pravda that the investigation is ongoing.
