NATO is in Ukraine's future: we just have to make sure they win the war – Biden

US President Joe Biden has emphasised that NATO is unquestionably a part of Ukraine's future. He pointed out that, as the Alliance discussed during the Vilnius summit, the only thing left to do is ensure that Ukraine prevails in the conflict before it joins NATO.

- On 12 December, following the closed meeting with President Volodymyr Zelenskyy, US President Joe Biden said he will not give up his support for Ukraine, as it is vital for the whole world.
- Biden stressed that Congress has bipartisan support for Ukraine and he is willing to make concessions on the funding of the border, and that is how democracy works.
- The US president also noted that history will judge the way they stood up for freedom harshly, as Putin "will keep going".
