Ukraine promises to reappoint 24 High Anti-Corruption Court judges by summer
Ukraine has pledged to ensure an open competition for 24 positions in the High Anti-Corruption Court (HACC) and appoint new judges by the end of July 2024, according to the text of the updated Memorandum on Financial and Economic Policies published on the IMF website.

Details: In particular, the High Council of Justice announced a competition for HACC judges in September – 15 positions directly to the HACC and 9 more to the HACC Appeals Chamber.
"We will ensure an open and competitive selection for these new positions and relevant provision of their staffing and organisational needs," the document says.
According to the memorandum, international experts will be involved in the competition. "The final appointments will be completed by the end of July 2024," the document says.
To improve the efficiency of the HACC's work, the procedural legislation will also be amended by the end of March 2024, in particular, to allow cases to be heard by one or three HACC judges.
