Zelenskyy in US shares idea to create European defence hub in Ukraine

President Volodymyr Zelenskyy has met with executives from US defence companies and spoken about the idea of creating a defence hub in Europe.

Details: Zelenskyy said that such a hub should be located in Ukraine, as Ukraine has a lot of practical experience gained through the war.

He also noted that in order to implement this idea, Ukraine is ready to make all the necessary decisions very quickly, simplify bureaucratic procedures, and place orders.

The President emphasised that Ukraine was ready and would produce more ammunition and military equipment, but it needed support from these major companies. This includes the joint production of artillery ammunition, air defence systems, artillery and missile systems.

He said that Ukraine also wanted to invite American partners to take a stake in Ukrainian defence companies, which would be in the interests of all parties.
