Ukrainian air defences destroy 8 missiles heading towards Kyiv – Air Force

Early reports from the Ukrainian Air Force (UAF) have indicated that air defences have brought down eight Russian missiles heading towards Kyiv.

Details: Early reports suggested that Russian forces launched a missile attack on Kyiv Oblast around 04:00 on 11 December.

Quote: "Air defences destroyed a total of eight air targets flying towards the capital following a ballistic trajectory."

Background: At 04:15 on 11 December, an air-raid warning was issued in Kyiv and the oblast, preceded by explosions in the capital.

Later, information emerged that the wreckage of the downed Russian missiles had crashed in the capital's districts, leading to damage and casualties and that some emergency and medical dispatches later did not confirm some of the latter reports.
