Slovak hauliers to resume blockade of border with Ukraine

The Union of Road Hauliers of Slovakia (UNAS) said it will continue to block the Vyšné Nemecké–Uzhhorod checkpoint on Monday, 11 December.

Details: It is noted that the protest action by road hauliers will continue until "further notice". The relevant decision was made by the Presidium of the trade union.

"Entry to the territory of the Slovak Republic for freight transport will be blocked. Passenger traffic will not be restricted," the trade union said.

The Union of Road Hauliers added that it had decided to extend the blockade "based on an assessment of the information received and its impact on the Slovak road transport market."

Note: Hungarian hauliers are going to block the Záhony-Chop checkpoint on the border with Ukraine from Monday, 11 December, demanding a return to the permit system for Ukrainian hauliers.
