Ukrainian forces repel 39 attacks as Russian forces attempt to break through their defences on Avdiivka front – General Staff report
A total of 82 combat clashes between Russian and Ukrainian forces occurred on Sunday, 10 December, with Ukrainian forces repelling 39 Russian assaults on the Avdiivka front.

Details: Over the course of the day, Ukraine’s defence forces clashed with Russian forces 82 times.
Russian forces carried out two missile strikes and 33 airstrikes and deployed multiple-launch rocket systems (MLRS) 29 times to attack the positions of Ukrainian troops and civilian settlements, injuring civilians and damaging private residential houses and other civilian infrastructure facilities.
There were no significant changes on the Volyn and Polissia fronts.
On the Sivershchyna and Slobozhanshchyna fronts, around 25 Ukrainian settlements came under Russian mortar and artillery fire, including Khrinivka, Kliusy and Arkhypivka (Chernihiv Oblast); Seredyna-Buda, Prohres, Druzhba, Kruzhok, Hrabovske and Popivka (Sumy Oblast); and Kozacha Lopan, Hrafske, Vovchansk, Bochkove and Budarky (Kharkiv Oblast).
On the Kupiansk front, Ukrainian forces repelled four Russian assaults near Synkivka and Petropavlivka (Kharkiv Oblast). Russian aircraft struck areas near Petropavlivka (Kharkiv Oblast) and Tverdokhlibove (Luhansk Oblast). Russian forces also deployed mortars and artillery to attack around 10 settlements, including Dvorichna, Synkivka, Petropavlivka, Ivanivka and Berestove (Kharkiv Oblast).
Ukrainian forces repelled five Russian assaults in the vicinity of Terny and Vesele (Donetsk Oblast) and Makiivka (Luhansk Oblast) on the Lyman front. Russian forces deployed aircraft to attack areas in and around Makiivka and the Serebrianka forest (Luhansk Oblast). They also deployed mortars and artillery to attack around 10 settlements, including Nevske and Bilohorivka (Luhansk Oblast) and Torske, Serebrianka, Verkhnokamianske, Spirne and Rozdolivka (Donetsk Oblast).
On the Bakhmut front, Ukrainian forces repelled 11 Russian assaults near Hryhorivka, Bohdanivka, Ivanivske, Klishchiivka and Andriivka (Donetsk Oblast). Russian forces conducted airstrikes near Chasiv Yar and Toretsk (Donetsk Oblast). Around 10 civilian settlements, including Orikhovo-Vasylivka, Markove, Bohdanivka, Klishchiivka, Avdiivka and New-York (Donetsk Oblast), came under Russian mortar and artillery fire.
Ukrainian forces repelled 39 Russian assaults to the east of Novobakhmutivka, Stepove and Avdiivka, and to the south of Sieverne, Tonenke and Pervomaiske (Donetsk Oblast) on the Avdiivka front. Russian aircraft struck areas in the vicinity of Ocheretyne, Novopokrovske and Avdiivka (Donetsk Oblast). Russian forces also deployed artillery and mortars to attack around 15 civilian settlements, including Keramik, Novobakhmutivka, Stepove, Avdiivka, Karlivka, Pervomaiske and Nevelske (Donetsk Oblast).
Ukrainian forces are continuing to hold the Russians back in the vicinity of Marinka and Novomykhailivka on the Marinka front, where Russian forces conducted 14 unsuccessful aircraft-supported assaults on Ukrainian positions. Krasnohorivka, Heorhiivka, Marinka, Pobieda and Novomykhailivka (Donetsk Oblast) came under Russian fire.
Ukrainian forces repelled all Russian assaults on the Shakhtarsk front, with Russian troops trying to push Ukrainian forces out of their positions to the southeast of Vuhledar (Donetsk Oblast). Around 10 civilian settlements, including Vodiane, Vuhledar, Zolota Nyva, Urozhaine and Rivnopil (Donetsk Oblast), came under Russian artillery and mortar fire.
Ukrainian forces also repelled three Russian assaults near Robotyne (Zaporizhzhia Oblast) on the Zaporizhzhia front. More than 20 civilian settlements came under Russian artillery and mortar fire, including Levadne, Malynivka, Verkhnia Tersa, Charivne, Novoandriivka and Kamianske (Zaporizhzhia Oblast).
On the Kherson front, Russian forces shelled Tiahynka, Ivanivka, Antonivka and the city of Kherson (Kherson Oblast) and Ochakiv (Mykolaiv Oblast).
Meanwhile, Ukraine’s Defence Forces are continuing to maintain their recently gained positions on the left (eastern) bank of Dnipro in Kherson Oblast. They are inflicting personnel and equipment losses on the Russian forces.
Units of Ukrainian Rocket Forces and Artillery struck three clusters of Russian personnel, weapons and equipment and one Russian ammunition storage point.
