Zelenskyy appoints new Ukrainian Special Operations Forces commander
President Volodymyr Zelenskyy has appointed Serhii Lupanchuk as the new commander of the Special Operations Forces of Ukraine’s Armed Forces.

Details: By another decree, the president dismissed Viktor Khorenko from the post of Special Operations Forces commander.
Background: In September, Zelenskyy conferred the highest military and special ranks and presented epaulettes to members of Ukraine's defence and law enforcement agencies. At that time, the Ukrainian president promoted Viktor Khorenko to the rank of major general and presented him with the appropriate epaulettes. Khorenko was dismissed from his post as commander of the Ukrainian Special Operations Forces on 3 November.
