Shahed drones circled, waiting for other groups: Ukrainian Air Force on Russians' tactics in overnight attack

Yurii Ihnat, spokesman for the Ukrainian Air Force, has reported that 66 Shahed drones were downed specifically over Kyiv Oblast and the city of Kyiv and that the Russians tried to hit Kyiv with all drones at the same time.

Quote from Ihnat: "Approximately 66 [destroyed drones – ed.] were, in fact, in Kyiv Oblast. But the rest are those that flew up and were destroyed on the way by the Defence Forces in the south and east of our state."

Details: Ihnat explained that Shahed drones from Russia’s Kursk Oblast flew straight to Kyiv, while others from the southeast flew and circled, waiting for other UAVs from Kursk to hit the Ukrainian capital at the same time.

Background: The Russians launched a record number of attack UAVs at Ukraine on the night of 24-25 November. There were 75 Shahed kamikaze drones, 74 of which were shot down.
