Ukraine's Defence Ministry reveals plans for spending budget in 2024

Yurii Dzhyhyr, Deputy Defence Minister of Ukraine, has said that the purchase of missile weapons and ammunition will be a priority for the defence budget in 2024.

Details: It is reported that approximately 175 billion hryvnias (about US$4.82 billion) of the funds planned for 2024 will be allocated for this purpose.

Another 80 billion hryvnias (about US$2.2 billion) are planned to be spent on military equipment.

The next priority will be to repair damaged military equipment and purchase spare parts for it.

Quote from Dzhyhyr: "The government has instructed the ministry to contract as much as possible weapons and military equipment from Ukrainian manufacturers. And according to our estimates, more than 190 billion hryvnias (about US$5.2 billion) of the funds to be contracted next year will remain with the domestic manufacturer."
