Details: "On the other hand, there are many variables in the calculations that can change the situation. It will really depend on the outcome of the war in Ukraine," Pavel said.
He said that the whole of NATO sees Russia as the biggest threat in Europe, which means that it is necessary to prepare for it realistically.
"Russia must be held accountable for the lost lives and damage in Ukraine. That is why we must resolutely continue our comprehensive support for Ukraine and its citizens, it is in our interest," Pavel added.
Background: Earlier, during a meeting with the country's armed forces commanders, the Czech president stated that the arms supplies to Kyiv were not meeting expectations and were deepening the Ukrainian military's frustration with the West.
In early November, he said that the current situation on the frontline did not indicate that Ukraine could gain a military advantage. At the same time, Pavel cautions the world against "war fatigue" and concessions to Russia.
