Details: Markarova said that three more states – Washington, Maryland and Arizona – have joined the recognition of the Holodomor of 1932-33 as genocide of the Ukrainian people and proclaimed November as the month of remembrance of the Ukrainian Holodomor genocide.

Markarova reiterated that as of today, 31 US states have already issued proclamations recognising the Holodomor as genocide.

Quote: "The Embassy of Ukraine in the United States, together with the US Commission on the Ukraine Famine, is actively working to expand the geography of recognition of the Holodomor as genocide of the Ukrainian people. We invite the Ukrainian community in all states to join the campaign to commemorate the victims of the Holodomor by organising educational events about the heinous crime of the Soviet regime against Ukrainians committed 90 years ago."
