Details: Jakub Kurczuk, an officer on duty at the regional office in Lublin, said there were 10 people on the bus, all citizens of Ukraine.
"The bus drove into the oncoming lane, then into a ditch, and hit a tree," the official said.
Two people were killed instantly, and attempts to resuscitate a third failed. The other seven people were taken to hospital. The incident took place at around 05:00 on 19 November.
The Ukrainian citizens were heading to the border crossing in Dołhobyczów. Early reports suggest that the accident was caused by the driver falling asleep.
