Around 2,400 trucks stand in queues at blocked checkpoints on Polish border with Ukraine
About 2,400 trucks have been queuing on the Ukrainian-Polish border on the way out of Poland towards the three checkpoints: Yahodyn-Dorohusk, Krakivets-Korczowa, and Rava-Ruska-Hrebenne, as of the morning of 17 November.

Details: The colonel said the longest queue in front of the Yahodyn checkpoint comprises 1,100 trucks, with the rest heading towards Krakivets and Rava-Ruska.
The spokesperson noted that the protesters let several vehicles through in all directions every hour.
"The only more or less intense traffic we see is at the Krakivets checkpoint for trucks travelling from Ukraine to Poland," said Demchenko.
The total number of vehicles waiting to cross the border from Poland to Ukraine has steadily remained at 2,400-2,500 over the past few days.
"At the same time, hauliers are choosing other routes, and we have been observing a cluster of trucks opposite the Shehyni checkpoint for several days now. About 1,100 trucks are there," Ukraine’s State Border Guard Service said.
Background:
- Representatives of Polish hauliers blocking the border with Ukraine have claimed that the latest talks with Ukrainian officials have failed to put an end to the dispute.
- On 6 November, dozens of Polish hauliers began blocking three crossings on the border with Ukraine.
- The capacity of customs at the Uzhhorod checkpoint on the Slovak border almost doubled in a week due to the strike of Polish hauliers on the Ukrainian-Polish border.
