Ukrainian defenders repel 22 Russian attacks on Marinka front – General Staff report

The Russians have continued to attack on several fronts in Ukraine’s east, but Ukrainian defenders have been holding the defence. In total, 65 combat clashes took place over the past day.

Quote: "A total of 65 combat clashes took place during the past 24 hours. The enemy launched 8 missile strikes and 29 airstrikes and carried out 76 attacks from multiple-launch rocket systems on the positions of our troops and populated areas."

Details: On the Marinka front, Ukrainian defenders repelled 22 Russian attacks near Marinka and Novomykhailivka (Donetsk Oblast).

On the Lyman front, Russian forces conducted unsuccessful assault operations near the settlement of Nadiia in Luhansk Oblast.

On the Bakhmut front, the Russians conducted assault operations near Klishchiivka nad Andriivka (Donetsk Oblast), where Ukrainian defenders repelled six attacks. Moreover, Ukraine’s Defence Forces are continuing assault operations south of Bakhmut in Donetsk Oblast, inflicting losses on the Russians in manpower and equipment and consolidating their positions.

In the area of responsibility of the Tavriia Operational Strategic Group on the Avdiivka front, Russian forces keep trying to encircle Avdiivka, but Ukrainian soldiers are steadfastly holding the defence, inflicting significant losses on the Russians. The Russians’ offensive operations near Novokalynove, Avdiivka and to the east of Pervomaiske (Donetsk Oblast) were unsuccessful. Ukraine’s Defence Forces repelled 18 attacks there.

On the Shakhtarsk front, the Russians conducted unsuccessful assault operations near Prechystivka and Staromaiorske (Donetsk Oblast), where Ukrainian defenders repelled six attacks.

In the area of responsibility of the Khortytsia Operational Strategic Group on the Kupiansk front, Russian forces conducted assault operations near the settlements of Synkivka, Petropavlivka and Ivanivka (Kharkiv Oblast), where Ukrainian soldiers repelled seven attacks.

On the Zaporizhzhia front, the Russians conducted unsuccessful assault operations near Novodarivka in Zaporizhzhia Oblast.

Meanwhile, Ukraine’s Defence Forces are continuing to conduct offensive operations on the Melitopol front, inflicting losses in military personnel and equipment on the Russian occupying forces and exhausting them along the entire frontline.

In the area of responsibility of the Odesa Operational Strategic Group on the Kherson front, Ukrainian defenders are conducting counter-battery operations, striking the Russian rear.

In the area of responsibility of the Pivnich (North) Operational Strategic Group on the Volyn and Polissia fronts, there were no significant changes. 

On the Sivershchyna and Slobozhanshchyna fronts, the Russians are maintaining their military presence in the border areas, conducting sabotage activities to prevent the deployment of Ukrainian troops to vulnerable areas.

The Ukrainian Air Force launched 10 attacks on the areas where Russian manpower, weapons and military equipment were concentrated and 3 more strikes on Russian anti-aircraft missile systems.

Ukraine's Rocket Forces and Artillery struck 2 clusters of Russian military personnel, weapons and equipment, 13 artillery systems at their firing positions, an ammunition storage point and an air defence system belonging to the Russians.
