Details: "Following my proposal, the government today approved the freezing of Russian state assets in the Czech Republic. This is the end of the commercial activity that Russia uses to finance the murders of Ukrainians," the Czech Foreign Minister tweeted.
He did not specify the amount of these assets or the timing of the decision.
At the same time, at a press conference quoted by the Novinky portal, Lipavský stated that Goszagransobstvennost, the Russian federal enterprise for managing assets abroad and the administration of the affairs of the Russian President, was included in the Czech sanctions list.
Quote: "The company is a legal entity that finances the Russian regime that is killing civilians in Ukraine," he said.
The Czech Foreign Minister noted that real estate objects related to Goszagransobstvennost are located mainly in Prague and Karlovy Vary. The company's financial accounts will be blocked, and its property in the land registry will be frozen, so that it cannot sell the property.
Reminder:
- In total, the Czech Republic froze sanctioned assets worth more than €415 million.
- In addition, the country has a national sanctions list against Russia, which includes Moscow Patriarch Kirill, Russian oligarch Vladimir Yevtushenko and his son, as well as Boris Obnosov, Russia's main manufacturer of missiles, and his son-in-law, who lives in Prague.
