Details: Bohatykh said the Security Service of Ukraine had found aircraft equipment that had been manufactured to order for sanctioned individuals.
In this regard, the Ministry of Justice has filed a new lawsuit to impose sanctions on the S.V. Ilyushin Aviation Complex and the United Aircraft Corporation.
According to a statement on the Ministry of Justice's website, the lawsuit names PJSC United Aircraft Corporation, Rostec State Concern, and Pivdenmash (O.M. Makarov Pivdennyi Machine-Building Plant) as third parties without independent claims.
Background:
- The Ilyushin Aviation Complex is a leading enterprise in Russia’s aviation industry. It produces and maintains civilian and military aircraft, including the Il-76 heavy military transport aircraft Russia has been using during its full-scale invasion of Ukraine.
- On 17 June 2023, the Ministry of Justice filed a lawsuit with the High Anti-Corruption Court seeking the confiscation of US$4.5 million worth of aircraft equipment from the Ilyushin Aviation Complex. The court upheld this claim.
