Warsaw to help rebuild houses damaged in missile attack in Lviv

The authorities of Warsaw have provided ZL 160,000 (over €36,000) of financial aid to the territorial hromada of the Ukrainian city of Lviv for repairing damage to facades and staircases in the residential area on the Stryiska St. [a hromada is an administrative unit designating a town, village or several villages and their adjacent territories – ed.].

"The received funds will be spent on repairing damaged parts of the residential buildings in the Stryiska Street which were struck in a Russian missile attack on  6 July. At the moment, we are only including these funds in the budget of the Lviv Territorial Hromada, and the manager of the funds will be chosen at the council meeting," explained Viktoriia Dovzhyk, Head of the Department of Financial Politics of the Lviv City Council.

Background: On 6 July, a Russian missile struck a residential area on the Stryiska St. in the city of Lviv. 10 people were killed and 48 were injured in the attack.
