Strengthening defence of Kherson, military budget, important reports: Zelenskyy holds Staff meeting

At a meeting of the Staff of the Supreme Commander-in-Chief on 10 November, the strategy for de-occupation, the military budget for 2024, the situation at the front and a number of other issues were discussed.

Military budget for the next year. The emphasis is on becoming more self-sufficient in terms of shells, missiles, drones, armoured vehicles."

Details: Zelenskyy noted that he listened to the commanders' reports on the current situation on the front in all key areas: Kupiansk, Bakhmut, Avdiivka, Melitopol and the left bank of Kherson Oblast.

Specific decisions regarding the protection of Kherson are also expected. As the president stated, air defences, counter-battery warfare, EW and intelligence will be strengthened.

At the Staff meeting, there was also a separate report on the evacuation of Ukrainians and citizens of our partner countries from Gaza. The work is ongoing, Zelenskyy noted.
