"As of now, there is a new bridge here. Modern, reliable, and – most importantly – safe. The length is more than a hundred metres and the width is twelve metres," Oleksandr Prokudin noted.

The final cost of the work was UAH 278 million (approx. US$7.71 million). The construction was completed twice as quickly as planned.

"This large-scale structure was built in just eight months," Prokudin said.

He added that it was possible to save UAH 212 million (approx. US$5.88 million) of the budget in the course of the bridge's construction.

"These funds will be used to restore other facilities in Kherson Oblast," the head of the OMA added.

The contractor for the project was Highway-South LLC.

Note:

5,000 residents of the surrounding areas lost convenient access for car traffic after Russians blew up the bridge over the Inhulets River.

To remedy the situation, the military’s State Special Transport Service initially built a temporary crossing. However, that structure could not meet the needs of people.
