Israeli army has great success in ground operation in Gaza

The Israel Defence Forces (IDF) is making tremendous progress in its ground operation in the Gaza Strip.

Quote: "I am impressed by the activities of our forces. This is a determined, decisive action. There is strong cooperation between ground and air forces.

There are very important achievements being made in the field — hitting terrorists of all levels, from fighters in the field to high-ranked ones."

Details: Gallant said that the IDF's goal is to identify underground tunnels and drive terrorists out of them.

At the same time, he acknowledged that there are casualties in this battle on the part of the Israelis as well, "as is the case in any battle". Gallant is referring to the 15 IDF soldiers who were killed in the ground operation.
