Russians attack Chaikyne in Kherson Oblast at night, killing man
The Russian military fired on the village of Chaikyne in Kherson Oblast in the evening of 31 October, killing a man. Eight people in the oblast sustained injuries during the day, including two in the evening.

Details: The prosecutor's office said the Russian military fired on the village of Chaikyne in Kherson District at around 10:00 on 31 October 2023. A 58-year-old man was killed as a result of the attack.
Other settlements of Beryslav District also came under Russian fire, where two people with injuries of varying degrees of severity were taken to hospital.
Under the procedural guidance of the Kherson Oblast Prosecutor's Office, a pre-trial investigation has been started in criminal proceedings on the violation of the laws and customs of war (Article 438.1 and 2 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine).
Prokudin reported that in total, one person had been killed and eight others injured as a result of Russian aggression in Kherson Oblast during the past day.
Russian forces conducted 94 attacks during the past day, firing 510 projectiles from mortars, artillery, Grad multiple-launch rocket systems, tanks, UAVs and aircraft, including two missiles. They fired 24 times on the city of Kherson. A total of 30 strikes by guided aerial bombs were recorded in settlements in Kherson Oblast. There were hits in Beryslav and Kherson districts.
