Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu has issued a public statement concerning the wave of attacks by Hamas, saying that the country is at war, but they will prevail.

The enemy will pay a price like they have never known before.
I’ve given directives, first and foremost, to clear the [affected] urban areas of the terrorists who penetrated them.
In parallel, I am initiating an extensive mobilization of the reserves to fight back on a scale and intensity that the enemy has so far not experienced. We are at war and will win."
