Zelenskyy fires member of Ukraine's National Bank Council
Volodymyr Zelenskyy, President of Ukraine, has signed the dismissal decree, which stipulates that Bohdan Danylyshyn is removed from office as a member of the Council of the National Bank of Ukraine.
The corresponding decree 707/2023 has been published on the President’s website.
The document says that Danylyshyn was dismissed due to the end of his term in office.
The decree came into force on the day it was published.
Background: Danylyshyn was appointed as a member of the National Bank of Ukraine Council in 2016, by the decree of then President Petro Poroshenko.
In October 2016, the Council of the National Bank of Ukraine chose Danylyshyn as its head.
In November 2022, Danylyshyn left office as the head of the Council due to the end of his term in office.
After that, Danylyshyn rejoined the Council as its member.
In 2007-2010, Danylyshyn was the Minister of Economy in the government of Yulia Tymoshenko.
