Over 90% of Kyiv residents believe Ukraine will defeat Russia in war
The vast majority of Kyiv residents believe that Ukraine will win the war against Russia and over half think that the war will last more than a year.
Source: results of a sociological survey conducted by the Kyiv International Institute of Sociology (KIIS)
Details: Answering the question of who will win the war, 91% of respondents from Kyiv said Ukraine, including 74% who were fully sure of this. Only 1% of respondents believe that Russia will win.
The majority of respondents, namely 55%, believe that the war will go on for over a year more. Another 25% believe that the war will last from half a year to a year, and only 4% expect that the war will end in the coming months.
For reference: The survey took place during 7-13 September. A total of 805 respondents living in all Kyiv districts were interviewed based on a random sample of mobile numbers (with further statistical weighting) using a computer (computer-assisted telephone interviews, CATI). The survey was conducted with adult (aged 18 and older) citizens of the city of Kyiv who lived in the capital at the time of the survey.
Formally, under normal circumstances, the margin of error for such a sample (with a probability of 0.95 and taking into account the design effect) did not exceed 3,5% for indicators close to 50%, 3.1% for indicators close to 25%, 2.1% for indicators close to 10% and 1.6% for indicators close to 5%.
Under conditions of war, in addition to the specified formal error, a certain systematic deviation is added.
