Ukraine introduces mandatory evacuation of children in 8 settlements of Donetsk Oblast
About 250 children will be mandatorily evacuated from eight settlements in the Bakhmut and Pokrovsk districts of Donetsk Oblast and taken to Zhytomyr Oblast.

Quote: "The decision of the Donetsk Oblast Military Administration to announce the compulsory evacuation of about 250 children was unanimously supported during a meeting of the Coordination Centre for Mandatory Evacuation today [23 October]. The evacuation will be carried out from eight settlements in Bakhmut and Pokrovsk districts, where the security situation remains critical."
Details: The report indicates that all children, accompanied by one of their parents or a legal guardian, will be evacuated before the cold weather starts.
They will initially be sent to a humanitarian hub where they can rest, eat and receive comprehensive support and assistance.
Afterwards, the evacuees will be taken to Zhytomyr Oblast, where they will be provided with shelter, social payments, humanitarian aid and psychological support free of charge.
The ministry says 41 children have been taken to safe places so far.
