Details: Half of the US$60 billion Biden is asking for to support Ukraine will be spent on replacing and upgrading US weapons stockpiles.
Israel is to receive US$14 billion (previously, sources spoke of US$10 billion). This also includes US$10 billion for humanitarian aid, US$14 billion for US border security, and another US$7 billion "for the Indo-Pacific region".
Biden plans to submit this budget request on Friday, 20 October.
A few hours ago, Biden delivered a special address to Americans outlining why support for Ukraine and Israel is essential to US national security.
