Israel's operation in Gaza Strip, planned for weekend, is postponed – NYT
The New York Times has reported that the Israeli army has postponed the start of a ground operation planned for this weekend due to the weather.

Details: The invasion was initially planned for the weekend but was delayed for several days due to cloud cover that "would have made it harder for Israeli pilots and drone operators to provide ground forces with air cover," the officers said.
It is specified that during the special operation, in addition to infantry, the Israeli strike forces will include tanks, sappers and special forces, the officers added.
Ground troops will be covered by combat aircraft and artillery, which will fire from land and sea.
They emphasise that their goal is the defeat of Hamas and the elimination of its leaders, who are responsible for the attack on Israel on 7 October.
Reminder:
- On 14 October, the Israel Defence Forces (IDF) reported that their fighter aircraft had killed Merad Abu Merad, who was one of the main people responsible for the 7 October attack on Israel.
- The IDF later reported that they had killed a company commander of the Hamas Nukhba special forces who led Hamas attacks on Israeli communities near the Gaza Strip last weekend
