Israel reports killing Hamas special forces commander
The Israel Defence Forces (IDF) have reported that they have killed a company commander of the Hamas Nukhba special forces who led Hamas attacks on Israeli communities near the Gaza Strip last weekend.

Details: The IDF stressed that, based on intelligence, the aircraft killed Ali Qadi, a company commander of the Hamas Nukhba special forces unit.
Reports indicate he led the attack on Israeli communities near the Gaza Strip on 7 October.
The IDF says that Ali was detained in 2005 after abducting and killing Israeli civilians and was released as part of a prisoner exchange.
