Details: The president told the press about his recent trips to the deployment sites of 13 combat brigades that protect Ukraine from invaders on the Donetsk and Zaporizhzhia fronts. Zelenskyy said that it was important for him to hear directly from the soldiers about their needs, in order to then focus on these fronts during meetings with partners and in the production of domestic weapons.
Handing out epaulettes, the president emphasised that the awarding of a high rank imposes the obligation to lead people to the main goal, Ukraine's victory – always, under any conditions, circumstances, moods and situations.
Quote: "[It should always be] so that the soldiers – all these boys and girls of different ages and generations – respect you, understand you, and vice versa. And it is very important that everyone considers it an honour to fight for Ukraine next to you.
You are the people who do not look away, meeting the gaze of war. Please protect the lives of our soldiers, all soldiers, sailors, and sergeants. Take care of the state, take care of our soldiers. I wish you all only one thing – victory!"
Details: In particular, the president awarded the rank of major general and presented the appropriate epaulettes to Volodymyr Hutsol, the head of the Military Law and Order Service in the Armed Forces of Ukraine; Dmytro Deliatytskyi, the head of the Military Academy in Odesa; Dmytro Krasylnykov, the commander of the Pivnich (North) Operational Command troops of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, and Viktor Horenko, commander of the Special Operations Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
The President also conferred the rank of brigadier general and presented epaulettes to Serhii Baranov, the head of the Main Directorate of Missile Forces and Artillery and Unmanned Systems of the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine; Serhii Bulavko, the head of the Rear Command of the Logistics Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine; Yurii Mykolenko, the head of the Command and Staff Institute of the Use of Troops (Forces) of the National Defence University of Ukraine; Serhii Sirchenko, Chief of Staff – Deputy Commander of the Forces of the Skhid (East) Operational Command of the Ground Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine; Ihor Skybiuk, Chief of Staff – Deputy Commander of the Airborne Assault Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine; Andrii Sliusar, Chief of the Central Command of Ground Weapon Systems of the Command of the Logistics Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine; Serhii Tsarii, Chief of the Central Support Department for Providing Weapon Systems (part of the Command of the Logistics Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine), and others.
